BacilloSpore Select™ 100 VEGGIE CAPS contains two proprietary strains of shelf stable, spore-producing probiotic bacteria: Bacillus coagulans (as Lactospore^®) and Bacillus subtilis (as OPTI-BIOME^®).

Spore-producing probiotics are dormant organisms found abundantly in dry soil and other natural environments. Also referred to as soil-based organisms (SBOs), these microorganisms are surrounded by a shell-like coating, or endospore, which protects them from extreme conditions such as heat, salt and acid. When consumed, the resistant endospore coating allows SBOs to survive the acidic upper gastric environment intact before being delivered to the lower GI tract where they can adhere to the inner walls of the intestinal lining and become active.

Research suggests the beneficial, spore-producing microorganisms in BacilloSpore Select™  may help to promote digestive comfort and function, favor a healthy intestinal microbiome, and support robust gut-based immune function.

BACILLUS COAGULANS is a spore-forming microbe that produces L+ lactic acid as a byproduct and is well known for its ability to help promote healthy GI microbial balance. Clinical trials suggest that Bacillus coagulans may be effective in the management of various gastrointestinal issues including overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria, bowel irregularities and Irritable Bowel Syndrome of various presentations—notably, but not limited to, diarrhea type. BacilloSpore Select™ contains the clinically researched strain of Bacillus coagulans, Lactospore^® MTCC 5856, at a dose of 1.5+ billion CFU per capsule.

BACILLUS SUBTILIS exists in nature ubiquitously in soil, dust, vegetation, livestock and human skin, epithelial wounds and extremities. Studies suggest that as a supplement, this organism may help to support a healthy gut microbiome, help restore normal microbial flora following illness or extended antibiotic use, help reduce diarrhea, and help improve GI symptoms such as excess gas, bloating and discomfort in healthy adults. Bacillus subtilis also has been shown to produce vitamin K2. BacilloSpore Select™ contains the researched MB40 strain of this probiotic organism, OPTI-BIOME^®, again at a dose of 1.5+ billion CFU per capsule.

BacilloSpore Select™ is stable at room temperature and does not require refrigeration. Its hardy ability to resist stomach acids and digestive enzyme activity allows it to reach intestinal targets unchanged to help promote gastrointestinal comfort and support for healthy gut-mediated immune function.
